Positive Dog Training for less stress and a thriving relationship with your dog
Good Manners and Obedience Training for dog owners in Rhode Island, Massachusetts, Connecticut, and the surrounding area
Do you wish you had a better partnership with your dog?
Our private training sessions are a great way to learn the skills for better communication with your dog. In these lessons, your dog will learn good manners and foundational skills, while you learn how to effectively move through life with your dog.
How does training Work?
1. Contact us for a free 15-minute call! We’ll want to know about your dog, situation and your goals for training.
2. We train your dog at your home, our home, or out on the town depending on your training goals and individual dog.
3. You’ll enjoy a well trained dog as well as employing your own new skills.
What Types of Skills Do We Work On?
Each dog is different and each pet parent has different goals – we’ll work with you to create a custom plan for your dog that can include skills such as:
- Sits & downs
- Wait on “place”
- Come when called
- Impluse Control
- Walking on Leash
- Drop it
- Jumping
- Potty Training
...And Most importantly: Life Skills
While basic obedience training is helpful, we want to make sure your dog has the skills to interact with guests in your home, passing other pups on the trail, or being handled in the vet office. We’ll work to help make your dog a well-mannered and confident pup anywhere they go.

Frequently Asked Questions
My dog has A LOT of energy, can you help?
Absolutely. And the way we would start is by considering your dog as an individual. Rather than trying simply to tire your dog out, we work with you to find the ways that will channel your dog’s energy into productive activities, physically and mentally. A dog whose activities include enrichment and “thinking” are happier, better adjusted and much easier to handle.
My dog behaves at home, but forgets everything outside. Why?!
It’s a lot more distracting outside! Like people, when dogs are distracted it is harder to focus on what someone else wants. Dogs aren’t blowing us off; they genuinely become absorbed in other interests. Training will teach dogs to prioritize us even when other temptations beckon.
Can you help with leash pulling?
Absolutely! We regularly help New England dog owners struggling with pulling and leash reactivity learn to enjoy walks with their dog again.
